In my opinion there are none for these 500, 700, and 800 engines. I have many mods on my machine but an exhaust is not one of them. They just amplify the annoying sound and make it more annoying. You can listen to all the vids on youtube that you want, but it is difficult to tell by them. My HSP sounded the best in my garage, but after a day of riding it sounded worse than one of those imports with their stupid exhaust. Not worth the money in my opinion. I like being able to drive around without pissing of the neighbors or having my ears ringing after a ride.

I couldn't find anyone who made a slip on. I ended up going with a Biggun system on both my 500 and 700. They strongly recommend re jetting or if you have EFI like I do adding a programmer. I did.
Like you, I just hated the factory sound. Sounded like an old air compressor my dad had when I was a kid. The Biggun, like the others I found ,comes with a pipe all the way from the short curved header pipe just off the cylinders. On the 700 it sounds good at idle. It can get loud when you get on it but I like it and the wife hasn't said anything which is good. The 500 is another thing. It is noticeably deeper at idle and is loud on the gas. It has that big single cylinder thumper sound. I love it. The wife not so much. The kids like it so democracy wins out at my house. (for now anyway. I think my wife might be hideing some votes I dont know about)

I bought mine from JC Motors off of ebay. You can go directly to there web site and get the same deals. They were on sale when I got mine but the biggest reason I went with them is because they were willing to ship via USPS to Alaska and not insist on UPS or Fed EX. Shipping with the latter kills me coming to Alaska. In fact they honored the free shipping on Ebay and sent it free to Alaska via the mail.

I was going to try the hmf swamp xl on mine. We will see how it sounds. I like the sound of the big gun and the duel hsp.

IMO none of them are "reasonably priced", 200 - 300 bucks for a tube with some baffles. I have a 2010 500 H.O. and looked for a slip on for a reasonable price with no luck so I cut mine open and removed a couple of baffles drilled some holes and moved the outlet to the back of the muffler. I am not sure about your 700 but my muffler was very restrictive and the quad seems to have more power now that I modified the muffler and sounds much better.

What about just finding a sportbike slip on or stock muffler and welding it on? I have a buddie with a 05 Honda 500 with a 450 Yamaha Dirtbike stock muffler on it and it sounds great.
