Polaris Express 400 Engine Types???

Hello everyone. New here. I have bought a 1996 Polaris Express 400 which is in excellent condition with low hours and miles. The only part it needs is an engine. I have everything else but the engine. My question is will engines from other Polaris models fit in the express 400. Like maybe the sportsman 400 or 500?
Thanks for all your help!!!!!!!!!!!

The 2 bangrs are all the same. Before 96 I think it was they had a poor flowing desin in the jug. But the newer jugs fit right on. I run a 95 xplorer with 98 scrambler jug and head

What about my 300 xpress? Is there any other engine I can interchange with this thing to make it more reliable?
