started my snorkel tonight

Got a question, every website I've found says use two 1.5" hoses to the air box but I'm curious why when the factory snorkel only measures 1.25" and is only one not two. Seems like a waste of material cost and something else to potentially spring a leak to run two. What are yalls thoughts. This is on the 700

You are pulling a larger mass of air a greater distance before reaching the air box through angles which change air velocity thus the need for two to equal the amount of air taken in. If you want only one run a two inch setup.
