Alright guys new to the forum not to polaris. I just recently installed a high comp piston in my 2010 500ho not quite the bang I expected. I have been looking at the mikuni flatslide carbs and wanted another opinion what would yall think anyone have experience with it also what other things will wake this bike up or accomodate what's there . Yall see the direction I'm going I just can't seem to find info or resources. In other words I can't find any websites with a lot of Polaris stuff

I think the 500 is making about all it can make(not at all like a yam or honda ,where you have to keep throwing parts at it),without screwing up the reliability. Some have used clutch kits to get the motor up in the powerband, for better results.

ive got a 2000 magnum 500 motor in my 425, had Wiseco 11 to1 piston, ho cam and did some porting on the head, theres lots of room for improvement on the intake and exhaust ports, there is not a 500ho that will touch mine, the porting is the biggest improvement I think, oh yeah still have the 40mm ho carb, have heard flatslides are better but havent tried one

I had looked at the head and considered not porting it because I had found thee wasn't much that could be done my model is a 2010 maybe they changed a bit but what I had saw was pretty clean I mean you can't flow more than the valve let's flow
