Check this s**t out!!

I just noticed the back mount of my $500 big gun exhaust on my sportsman 700 was cracked so I emailed big gun and they wanted me to take pictures and send them so I went to take pictures and both mounts are broke in half. I put it on in august and it had about 4-5 hours on it. Now what do I do? I'm waiting to her back from big gun to see what they have to say but if I don't hear back from them by noon tomorrow I guess I will weld it back myself.

Mine on my 700 broke exactly the same way but mine only made it a week. Big Gun asked for pictures and they sent me a new exhaust and paid the shipping to ship the old one back. Very good customer service. The new one had a better mount.

Do you remember how long it took them to get your new exhaust back to you?

They mailed mine USPS because I live in Alaska but it seems like I had it within a week. I don't recall for sure but it must have been reasonable because I cant recall for sure. They were very good to work with and I have nothing but good to say about them other than there requirement to repack after 15 hours. I did pin the guy down about that and he stuck to the company line but I did feel that he might have hinted that wasn't necessary for everyone. I haven't repacked yet.

Sounds good. I think the packing will last longer as long as you don't run it in deep water or run your machine for long periods of time. I'm really glad that they are giving me a new muffler especially since I have had it for a little less then 4 months I was just hoping they would re-weld my mounts but a new muffler is even better.

The guy told me that I must have gotten one from an older batch and the new one the sent had a little gusset on it. Looks stouter. No problems since and its been about a year.

My problem with the 15 hour repack is that your warranty is dependent on that. Now if you were racing and running the thing wide open all the time I could see a 15 hour repack but as I told the guy on the phone I could easily put 15 hours on in a weekend trail ride and there is no way it should need a repack after that. Anyway I guess they would be hard pressed to prove you had more than 15 hours on it unless it really looked beat. I haven't noticed any change in tone in mine and I wont repack until I do.

I was hoping they found a way to reinforce the mounts better. Thanks for letting me know!
