90cc engine swap

I have an 06 pred. 90 parts bike. The frame has been broke in several places and rewelded along with some other "mods" I don't trust. I have an 01 scrambler 90 that my son is riding now. Not much wrong with it, but I was thinking about swaping the motor and trans out of the predator into the scambler so it would have reverse and the manual choke. Can this be done with out major modifications. The frames look the the same but I have not taken off the plastics and compared them. Thank you in advance
