Converting 2011 to 2012 850XP

Since Polaris still hasn't released the rumored "upgrade kit" I was curious if we could get a thread started on EVERY part needed to get that extra bang that the 2012 XPs get. With your help, perhaps we can find a dealership willing to make in-house "kits". I'll update this list with part numbers as I find them. Perhaps sticky worthy?

Prices are from polarispartshouse

From what I have been reading the ECU is the same, but the mapping is different due to the increased air and fuel. The EFI is a open-loop system, it would not be able to adjust on its own to the increase air/fuel ratio. That is why if you put a full exhaust and a K&N airfilter on your bike you will need a programmer. You could get the ECU flashed with the new Polaris mapping to make the update work, but Im not going to spent $850 for 5 or 6 HP!!

i'm thinking of it more from teh angle of this stuff + PCV = what 15-20 total horsepower increase?

850+399= possible ~20hp

am i wrong?

I dont think there is anyway you will see a 15 to 20 hp increase, maybe 10 HP and that will cost you $1200. I would get a clutch kit so you could feel the power you aready have. A clutch kit will cost far less..

already planning for the clutch, exhaust, etc.

I guess teh real incentive for me was to ad that additional 7 hp that the 12's have over mine. Now i'm wondering though if they will make a 7hp gain still after the PCV and cams are in.
