K&N Air and Oil Filter on 08' Sportsman 800

Hello,

I have an 08' Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI. It is all stock. Perfect/Mint condition. A few mths ago I gave it it's first Oil change with the Polaris oil filter but Mobil 1 Synthetic oil. I am looking at getting a K&N air filter for it and a K&N oil filter (for it's next oil change). Is there any benefit to the machine for putting a K&N Air and oil filter on it? Performance wise and longevity wise? Also, what other little mods can I do to it to get the performance up a little bit that won't break the bank? Thank you!

the air filter will help, the oil filter wont do anything for performance, you can get one from wix, at parts house , #51357

One nice thing about the K&N oil filter is the hex drive on the end of it. You are able to thread/unthread it really easy with a socket on an extension.

I personally use UNI air filters. I think foam has better filtration than gauze (spelling?).

The nut on the K&N oil filters is AWESOME. It's really the only way to do it. I use them on the 4-stroke yamaha jet skis I have too. It is sooo hard to get to the oil filter on those.
