Trany swap

So my father has a scambler 400 that has been sitting for 5+ years. Now that i am out of school i am going to be taking it and fixing it up. I have been a big atv guy for years but i am a Yamaha guy i have had an built a blaster, a 660 raptor, and a yfz 450. I think the scambler could have some potential but as it is i find them so very underpowered for a 2stroke 400. My big bore blaster use to keep up with the scambler and well the raptor and yfz were on a level well beyond it.

My big thing is the auto cvt trany the polaris uses. It has a huge parasitic draw from the motor and seems to limit it in a lot of ways. Has anyone ever put a standard trany in a polaris. I know the predator/outlaw have a standard trany and was wondering if polaris motors r similar and i could bolt up a standard trany for a predator to the 400 scambler motor.

I am custom car builder so i know as long as the motor and trany is compatible i can do the fabrication to make it work in the frame.

So my only big thing is dose anyone know if their is a standard manual atv trany that will bolt up or will i have to be doing a fully custom job to mate one.

going to be a custom build...
and im not sure about the scrambler, but my polarises have a shaft going to the rear dif/final drive.
if thats the case, i suggest you swap out the whole system and make it a chain+sprocket drive...
its going to be alot of work but will surely be worth it...

although im unsure of the final results being faster than the yfz but it will surely be FAST...

oh and the rear dif+shaft (that you will remove) will make the atv lose allot of weight, versus the chain and sprocket...
