Need clutch kit help!?

I have a 1994 polaris xplorer 300 and I can't seem to find a clutch kit that is the right motor size or year model. Could I maybe use one that is maybe a little bigger motor size or a couple years newer?
Thanks, Drake

some of the smaller engine machines we always just do a custom grind on the weights to make them shift at the correct rpm. we dont offer kits for some of the smaller/older/uncommon machines but we can custom make them.

You don't think like maybe a 1996 xplorer 300 will fit my 1994 xplorer 300?

I have a '96 Xplorer 300 and I've been talking to EPI about their kit for my quad, but they don't want to give out any info. Well, I took mine apart today to find out why it wasn't working. My driven(rear) clutch came off in pieces!! There's a C-clip in the back that holds it all together that was broken. The good thing was it all came apart easy. So I can see how it operates. There's several holes to put the spring into to stiffen it up.I'm just gonna check if there's a stiffer spring to replace the messed up one and get some heaver weights for the drive(front) clutch. I went with 1" larger tires. Alot cheaper than $250.00!!!!

I just spent a few hours with CVT CLUTCHING 101. In addition to heaver weights I'll be looking for a heavier spring for the drive clutch as well. I'm looking to lock up faster and harder. As I said before, I'm more into "crawling" not speed.

Mine's a '96 Xplorer 300. I'd be hesitant to try mudding the smaller quads. I had to go across a small river with mine and just barely made it. It took 45 min. for the clutch to dry out. By the way, I've added 1" taller tires on mine. I'm getting ready to do some clutch mods on mine after reading the CVT article on here.
