2012 sportsman getting hot

Ok so i just put a new red primary clutch spring in and after taking it for a test ride seemed like it was getting a little to hot. my question is should the clutch cover be hot, i can still touch it but it just seems to hot. i havnt really noticed this before but after the mod was making sure everything was good. i didnt get an overheat light and yes the fan came on. any advice and comments is greatly appreciated.

My NEW experience with a red spring is that it makes the motor work harder, so it will get hotter than normal. That spring went BYE-BYE already!!

Would love to find GURU style bumpers! By the way, I'm also a graduate of AMI with over 20 years of motorcycle mechanical experiance. New to quads, but the same basic engines. 2 stroke or 4 stroke!
