Well, after some reading, the Predator seems to always be running a little hot. My last ride, the fan was on quite often thru the ride. A guy with a YFZ450 said he had the same issue until he switched over to Engine Ice coolant. I picked up a jug today, and will probably switch it over within the week, but wanted to see if anyone else had good/bad results using it. Here is the link if you have no idea what I'm talking about: Engine Ice - Welcome
hey red, we sell that stuff at our shop and it is probably the single most selling "oil" product for use, behind all types and brands of engine oil. we have a lot of guys who would swear by it. i dont think you will be disappointed by it, although, i personally havent used it (because i have no machine to use it in)
Love the stuff, we are also sponsored by them which helps with the cost. I have only used it in our Drag sleds for grass, ice and asphalt racing. It makes a difference especially when we have to do back to back runs on grass or asphalt. We used to go from 70 degrees to 180's in a single pass on asphalt now we are seeing 160 on a hot day. We also keep it in all year long with no corrosion issues. Using for 4 years now.
I contacted the company, (Engine Ice) trying to locate a dealer. They wrote back and all they said was to check with local shops. I did, nobody carries it. How much does the stuff cost anyways?
