2009 Polaris Sportsman 550XP with EPS
Hi All,
I just joined this forum.
I am all new to all this ATV things, I just want to have some good ATV for snow plow.
I just have this deal of 2009 Polaris Sportsman 550 XP with EPS in Red color with 300 miles and very clean with no scratche for $5,700.00 plus $500.00 shipping me in New york City. It will cost me $6,200.00.
This ATV is without any winch / plow and Polaris Winch / polaris Plow will cost me additional $800.00.
I have few questions;
1, Is this a good deal and lower end price for this model?
2, How about a new one? if so the how must it will cost me?
Thanks

Welcome. Take a look at the plows we carry. Much more stronger then the China built Polaris plows. Any questions just call the shop and ask for Thor. I know the XP inside and out. I have several myself.

personally, I would never buy a used machine I have never seen in person and test rode. If all you want it for is snow plowing I'd just get a 400HO brand new for around $5600...
The first thing you should do is goto as many polaris dealers closeby as you can, test ride a couple different models of machines, and see what the dealer will do about hooking you up with a discounted winch/plow.
paying $6200 for a used 2009 you have never seen or sat on does not make sense to me. I'm quite sure you can find a much better deal for what you want.

Sounds like low miles, but how many hours?
I picked up a 2010 550XP EPS for $4800 earlier this year. It was low miles (less than 300) but high hours (1200).
I also would be concerned about buying a used machine sight unseen, then having it shipped.
Good luck.
