2011 Sportsman 500 HO
Contacted my local dealer, and got the price of 5859.72 OTD.
I'm also looking into getting a winch and a plow for it, but the dealer told me 900 for both, is it usually this high for both?
Are these prices reasonable? And what's a decent down payment for an atv?

For a 2011 sportsman, that doesnt seem to be too bad a price as I dont believe there are really any rebates on them, and for OTD it seems fair. You can usually get a 2010 left over for around $5K though, and there really is only cosmetic difference, nothing really mechanical.
The winch and plow sounds right to for around retail. Winches usually run $400-$500 and your plow frame is usually about $200, the mount about $100, and the blade about $150.
It not a mind blowing deal, but it sounds fair for a 2011 at this time.

I agree, check with another polaris dealer if you have one that is fairly close, within an hour away.
You should also ask what brand of plow and style it is, if you have to get a loan for it ,you may want to upscale a bit. Figure on getting it paid off in two years max

It looks as though you got the $500 rebate and if you were here in PA, 6% sales tax would bring you up to $5,830....not sure what your tax is... Add in title and reg. fees and $100 freight, and you'd be up to 5,972 if you bought at the local dealer near me...So your deal looks pretty good!

No way, you are not asking too much...get them to install it all for free if you can. I bought my 2010 500 h.o. for $4800 after fees and before tax, and my dealer still offered to install stuff for free (I didn't take them up on it though). If you can afford it, get it all in the beginning so later you can do the fun stuff like tires, rims ect.

Price on the ATV doesn't seem bad. I bought one a few weeks ago for $5585 OTD. That includes 6% tax. It was the best deal I could find within 100 miles. As far as the plow, that seems spot on. I found one place that would install a full Polaris kit (Polaris 2500lb winch, G3 mount, frame and 52" plow)for $1000, but it took a lot of negotiation and they didn't even have everything instock. I ended up getting all the parts and going with a 60" blade for a little over $900 from somewhere with it all instock, and they discounted everything quite a bit. I called like 5 dealers to find that deal with somewhere that had everything in stock. The dealer I purchased from was to far away to make another trip and wasn't offering much better.
Do not pay more than $100 to install it. After that, you might as well do it yourself.
