LUCKY americans!!!!

So after seeing you discuss pricing in America..you guys are lucky...Thank god for the sale we had in Ontario on 2011 XP'S...my 550 camo MSRP is 9,599.00$ plus HST which is 13% around 1300$ I think, plus (you have to get this done) IPT test from the dealership...279$....WOW....so back to the spring XP sale...I got mine for 7,499$ +HST (1109.08$) +IPT (279$)+ license fees (40$)+ options (759.50)...total was 9,687.38$ OTD ON SALE...but it looks so mean and woods worthy...LoL....I would love to have the prices you guys get in America.....seems Canadians always pay more to play!!!!!

Our dollar is better, but for some reason products made in Canada (insert rude comment about BRP) are cheaper in the US.

We're more fortunate than lucky.

Plus, you guys should pay more so you can have your free (insert rude comment about nothing being free here) healthcare in Canada. Oh, that's right...... "free" healthcare is one reason ya'll have to pay more for every single thing you purchase up there!

Like I said, not lucky, just fortunate.

I was once told that because Canada is so wealthy that we pay more then other countries for name brand products cars, boats, toys, clothes etc...because it offsets the company's branches in other "poor" countries..I was just in Jamaica and my taxi driver said he paid 4000$ us(21 million J$) for a brand new Honda odessy car....where as here the base model starts at 29,990 can$....bull crap..that's a huge difference...so basically companies sell it to us Canadians for a jacked up price and the sell them dirt cheap elsewhere to balance out the fact that they wanted a set $ amount for that product.......I'm not sure about the ATV-healthcare connection....but i do know that our healthcare is primarily funded by the federal tax that I pay at every paycheck..And I think healthcare is about a government "caring about its people"..and properly allocating its tax revenue.... WE the CITIZENS work hard for and chip in every paycheck ....so to say that we "get free healthcare" is absurd....

Skizmo,
That was my point exactly. Nothing is free. Just like you said; each paycheck you have to pay for your healthcare. Each paycheck I have to pay for bombs. When you go buy a new ATV it cost you more. When I go to the doctor's office, it cost me more.

I think it works out in the wash for the most part.

I still stand by my comment about fortunate, not lucky!

Skizmo, what would have happened if you had driven over to Michigan and bought one for $6000US ? Would the border guys just let you pass or would there have been a tax?
