Help with pricing 2 machines

I have decided we need some new ATV's so I have been doing some looking. I have decided the 2 I need based on past experience and retail price.

I am wanting a Sportsman 6X6 for myself, MSRP $10k

I am wanting a Sportsman 500 HO for the GF, MSRP $6k. I have looked at some of the other models and the price sure jumps up. While I would like to go with the new 850 for her the $$$ are just not there for me.

What kind of price should I be looking to actually pay for these or what kind of stuff should I be able to get "thrown in" with them?

I see the HO has a $300 rebate right now.

I am not sure what kind of mark up there is on machines but I am sure there is some room on them. They have 2 2011 HO's on the floor and would have to get a 6x6 brought in.

I talked to the closest shop today and told him I wanted to get a quote on what the pair would cost with a 3500lb wench on the 6x6 and a 2500 on the HO. Along with good tires, was looking at the Titan 589 M/T which are ones me an my buddies normally run.

I have 3 more shops that are close that I will get quotes from too but it wont be till at least next week.

I am sure I left some stuff out but hopefully that get you stated with some help. Any thoughts would be great.

Well have talked to 3 now and not looking so well for any of them.

Plans have changed a little and only buying the 6x6 for now. Can afford both but don't want to over extend. So going to pay down the 6x6 this summer and if I have a good season (when I make my toy money) I will buy the other cash this fall.

No one has 6x6's in stock so that is an issue.

Shop 1, salesman is an idiot, still waiting for a price. Just don't like the guy if that makes any sense

Shop 2, right off the bat quoted me under MSRP due to the rebate. So came back with 2 week delivery. $400 for set up and delivery. Front tires at $260/pair and $600/rear set. Polaris 3500 wench at $475. All installed for $150. I can get the tires at half that price online, and a Warn RT30 for $425 and install all myself. So not sounding like such a good deal.

Shop 3, local shop working on a quote now. States they found 3 in the region but would cost $500 for them go get it (I understand this). The can order normal too but they don't order as often as Shop 2 so probably a month or more for delivery and I would like to have it by Memorial Day weekend.

Since I plan on paying sales tax in cash I might call out of state next and see what I can do.

Any thoughts?

I bought 2 850 xp eps LE from a dealer in NJ that had them in stock, got $500 rebate plus $700 off list and did not pay for set up or delivery charges. List pirice was $10499. out the door was $9300 no sales tax since I bought out of state

Well I found one in stock but it is out of state. It is a 2010 model and wants $9044 out the door, no tax either since it is out of state.

I am thinking this is as good as I am going to do after talking to 6 different places now. Bad thing is I have to add about a 400 mile round trip in my truck that gets 10mpg to pick it up. Still think I am going to do it though.

Best anyone wants to do here on accessories is 10% so I am going to order online and save much more.

Just purchased 4 6x6 units for 35,800. OTD- if this helps? FYI no set up fees should be charged since they come fully installed from the factory.

That is super sweet. I am in awe.

Just wondering what you do with them?

I hit the 6 closest places which are not really that close and $9k was the lowest of any.
