Price input on '02 Sportsman 400 4x4
Friend of mine is selling an '02 Sportsman 400 4x4. Good shape. Tires are fair. 1,600 miles and about 230 hours. No major issues. Is $2,000 a fair price and what can I expect in regard to reliability with this model?

I would check prices in your area on craigslist. The fair price is so much different from one place to another. Where I live $2000 would be a good price you could get $2750 to $3200 for it if it is in good shape here.

just throwing in my 2 cents. down here in fl any bike below 1500 disappears off craigslist the day its posted, but as far as $2K for an 02 400 i think that might be a little high seeing as i got my 04 400 (425 cc) 4x4 for a lot less with only a few minor issues

i think it is worth it. if it runs good and is not stolen. lol where i am it is also very rare to see a running atv for under 2k stay on craigslist for more than an hour. I baught my 03 trailboss 325 off craigslist last week for 800$ it just so happend that i was on craigslist as it posted and the seller lived a block away from me.
an old lady whos husband had died. he was the origanal owner. the quad had sat for 3 years and the manuals were lost, it needed new tires and the foot brake didnt work the taillight was broken and there is nothing telling me how to work the winch that it has. so i put about 1k$ into mine making it a 1800$ quad.
it all depends on what the quad needs?
