Multi quad discount?

Long time lurker, but this is my first post here. Great forums. Anyways, I'm curious if anyone has any insight as to what sort of additional savings I'm going to be looking at on either a sportsman 550 or a sportsman 500 ho, when we will be purchasing three quads at one time. A friend of mine is getting two sportsman 550 eps and we figured a bulk order so to speak, would save us some money. Anyone ever done anything like that before, and has some idea of the savings we should expect? I don't want to go into the dealer without at least a little bit of information. This is the first quad i'm buying new, and the first i've bought in 10 years. Thanks for any info.

Gov agencies do it all the time. You can expect or ask for something like a couple hundred bucks off of each machine in addition to the rebate (profit is about a grand or less on most new machines), no prep, dealer or set up fees (that money goes straight into their pocket, and 10-15% break on parts and any labor install time you would need. That's fair enough it's something most dealers should be able to reasonably do

Shop around is the best thing I can say to do. Just went though similar thing buying a 6x6 with 3500 lb Polaris winch and aftermarket tire and sales tax. I called 6 places in 3 states. First place local took 8 days to get me quote (the highest) and the 2nd longest to get it (few people stock 6x6's). Another had a long lead time unless I wanted to pay extra for shipping (small shop with few orders). 3 others had similar prices and lead times. The shop I bought from found one and sold it to me for a price I was willing to pay in 10:49 min on the phone. I got the ATV, Tires AND wheels, HD bumper, 3000lb Warn winch, sales tax, and fuel cost to go get it and am sill about $1000 cheeper then the next lowest quote.

I get to pick it up tomorrow and cant wait.

You should be able to save at least $250 per machine when buying more than one - shop around and look out of state.

It all depends on what you are buying and who you talk to. Me and a friend bought 3 Sportsman 500's all at once...I got 1 he got 2 and we got NO discount! The guy at the shop said no discount because he was going to easily sell the machines one way or the other for the price he was asking. That being said the dealership we bought from I will never go back to...he lost my business and that of everyone that I know...

Depends on what time of the year you're buying... Is the dealer feeling the heat of getting rid of his new stock that he's been paying flooring on for 6 months or so or you are you trying to buy them right as they come off the truck? Obviously this makes a difference. Also does your buddy have anyone he's bought from in the past? I can tell you from experience I've gotten many discounts (often within a few hundred of cost) due to loyalty and the fact we buy a new machine every year or two.

I guess I would never expect dealers to give a discount on a particular machine because maybe they have no need to. As others have said there isn't a huge markup on these machines so if they come down a couple hundred off msrp, you're probably getting a pretty good deal.

Do what Blueline did. . that's what I did on my ATV, as well as my Silverado .. . had everything worked out before I even walk in the dealership. . it's the only way I'll play there game ever again .. that way, If I don't like the price, I hangup the phone, not drive 40 minutes back home or to the next dealership ..

Best way to go. But I have never bought an ATV, lol. I have just sold them at a dealership. So I was a sales guy, now I just share things other sales guy won't say.

I hated the games too, so I was able to leave sales and just go back to my parts counter where I belong, lol
