Purchase????
Have a question. Having owned many Polaris atv's in the past and loving them, i have a chance to purchase another (used). My wifes father is selling his 2002 700 Sportsman, and has offered it to me for $2,000! It has only 650 miles and has been taken care of, passes for as 'new". No cracks, scratches rust or any of the like So... is it a worthy purchase and are there any "issues" with the 02's that i should look out for?? Thanks!

I have an 02 700 Polaris and had it since new. Have not had any problems except a little overheating problem one time and it was the thermistor in the radiator . Have about 1800 miles on it and no other problems at all, Great machine

Thanks!! Im on it! Did do some more checking and talked to my local dealer about buying a new one... Told him about the deal and even he said BUY IT!! Did advise me that there was a head gasket/leak issue that Polaris had a recall on and to get the VIN and they would run it to see if it had been done, if not they would perform the recall free of charge after all these years!
