Tomorrow is the day I bring something home
So i'm headed to my local Polaris dealer here in Ohio tomorrow to make a purchase. I was sure I wanted a 500 HO but now there are a couple of kinks in that plan. They have marked down their 550 XP's pretty dramatically and also took a 2004 Sportsman 700 Twin with 1056 miles on trade and it is priced at $3499. So now I'm not sure what to do. Thoughts? Either way, something is coming home with me tomorrow.

you wouldn't be dissapointed with the 500 ho or 550 xp.

Ride them all if possible. It will probably make it an easy choice.

The 500 and 550 are $1000 apart. The older 700 sold this morning so that's out. I'd like the 550 but I also like the fact that I could work on the 500 easier if something went wrong. Also, let's be honest, in this economy $1000 is a fair amount of money. I'm just not sure I want to throw down that kind of cash right now.

Well I went with the 500. Got it for $4999 plus tax. I added a winch and a plow to it. Picking it up tomorrow. Hope it treats me right. Thanks for the responses.

$4999 with the winch and plow? or winch and plow extra?
Does it have EBS and ADC?

Could've hooked you up with an X2 all set up for close that price.
Order the HD front springs and adjuters for the plow set-up you'll need them right away.
I use the springs and TM2 adjusters, so I can set it up with the plow on and lower it to level with plow off.
Does it have EBS and ADC??? you want that if you are going to trail ride, if just plowing snow who cares.
Should get some bumpers front and rear, any little bump and the plastic will break.
