2011 Sportsman 400
I have been shopping around here in Northern Illinois, and the best price I can find on a 2011 Sportsman 400 HO is $6015.00 out the door.

Another dealer, the 2012 Sportsman 400 at $6100.00 OTD

Are these Chicago/Illinois prices that inflated?

Welcome to the forum!! I would look around some more! I paid $6275 OTD with 3 year ext. warranty for the red 2011 500 HO.

Maybe try ATVs for Sale - Bombardier, Polaris, Can-Am, Arctic Cat - ATV Trader.com I entered a Chicago Ill zip code and within 150 miles found 2 2012 400's at $5099 and $5199.

I think there are deals to be had...but you may need to travel some.

Good luck...

Plus...IMHO...I would go with the 2012MY. Simply because they add the front storage on the 400...where the 2011 400...it's extra. Just my .02.

Agree, looking for 2012 400 or 500. I want to purchase locally, but they will have to do better then MSRP to get me to fork over $$

Do some searching and shopping, about a month ago I gave $6400 OTD for a 2011 Sportsman 800 and I got them to throw in the front and rear brush guards.
