Exclamation 2012 Sportsman 850 HO Touring w/ eps

I was checking out the 2011 model when they released the 2012. I had them down to $9300 for the 2011, now this 2012 comes around......

Has anyone priced the '12 out...... Right now I'm @ $9,999, OTD @ $10,600
With the '11 OTD @ $10,100

Now I have already bit the bullet on dropping a ton of money into a machine....... Now it's just....... Which one?
I've gone back and forth on this....lets face it, what's another $600 when your dropping 10 grand already. Not to mention, I would like to think the cam issues and the debated EPS issues have been delt with.

Any thoughts....... Anyone ..........

Oh, and the dealer said it could be up to 60 days to get the '12 in, where as the '11 is ready now...... I'm just iching to get out and ride, is the 2 month wait worth it? Or is the threat of the wait to push me to the '11 ? I'm going crazy here.

Welcome aboard! In the end you're going to scratch whichever itches first, so go for it.

Yeah, that's what I'm leaning towards. The wait will be excruciating though. We have had awesome riding riding weather the past 2 weeks+. I've already waited this long though. Is that kind of wait normal for a new model order?

Thumbs up

WOW...waiting for 60 days??? Humm...I'm thinking your dealer...is full of it! He is just trying to sell you the 2011.

Ok...have you talked warranty yet??? Remember...only a 6mth warranty comes with the machine. After that...you are on your own. Not sure how much winter riding you are planning on doing, but waiting for the '12 until November...and that puts you at May when the warranty ends. Summer rolls around...and you have no warranty. Humm???

Now...you purchase the '11...and you can spend that extra $600 you would have saved...for a 2, 3, or 4 year extended warranty. Piece of mind right???

IMHO...go buy the '11. They are GREAT machines...and you get to ride now!

Ask me how I know...

you bring up a good point on the timing on the warranty. That is poor timing as fare as when it will get the most use. Even with the extended warranty it will be the same poor timing, just a different year. Always try to get the freshly to activate the warranty say at the end of the month that I take delivery.
Thanks for the thought, there are so many electronics on these quads now, the warranty is almost a must have.
