I would go for the newer machine. LOts of rust on bolts. Up north snow,rain,freezing weather. Then salt to melt the ice and the rust begins. Looks like a $2000.00 -$2300.00 machine. Make sure a clear title not a previous damge title or salvage title. I think all 4 a-arms should be the same color. I have diassembled alot of older Polaris atv's and even those had all shock springs the same color. If I were you question the A-arms and look at them eye to eye and if they don't give you direct attention quick striaght forward answer. Stay away.
