Polaris v/s Artic Cat

Has anybody compared to the 2 Rider atv's from AC against Polaris?Which one rides the best with a passenger, handles the best, and still pulls strong in the mud?I've ridden and Artic Cat Trv,and I like it,but it's not a Polaris.I know this is a Polaris forum, but I just want the truth.

Yes I have, I'd go with can am before artic cat. The outty max is a nice ride but they have a problem with the frame bending and to expensive. Going over rough rocky terrain on a Polaris touring is almost unbelieveable. It is so smooth. If you would take a Polaris touring for a test ride you wouldn't give AC another thought.

Dirt Trax television did a great 2-up comparison between the 850 touring - the cat trv and the outlander 800 max..
The 850 Touring won the shootout by a wide margin.. They were focusing on which machine offered the best ride for the driver and passenger.. The cat came last.. 3 things they highlighted that killed the cat were that it was the weakest motor of the 3.. The power steering is not "dynamic" which means it doesn't lessen the assistance the faster you go which makes the steering twitchy and the passenger seat back is rigid.. It doesn't flex backward and forward like the canam or polaris, which makes the passenger feel like their being thrown forward when their back hits it..
The can-am was noted for having the most power but not by much over the polaris and its the most expensive..
The polaris was the clear winner even before they announced it at the end of the segment..

I cant speak for the 2 up 's , but the fit and finnish on the cats is garbage ! the motors are way down on power , and they are not priced well . I rode a 650 h1 cat and it felt weaker then my old 08 sportsman 500ho , then I rode a ac 700efi , that was not much better then the 650 carb model , and was 1000 more ! the front fenders were vibrating and rattling so bad I had to turn off the machine to listen to the salesman try to sell me this junk . these were brand new machines ! I would hate to see what a yr or 2 of riding does to them . I would stick with the polaris . I too have heard horror stories of the can am frames buckling . they even sell kit that you pound either an aluminum or nylon rectangle piece thats like 4 ft long and you take a Big F***ing hammer and pound it into the frame channel in order to stiffen it . other places sell gusset kits you have to weld on to the stock frame . to me the few extra lbs is better then new technology that doesn't work ! the polarass's have been proven strong for many yrs .
