out of a quad ): the insurance totaled my XP
well as the title states..the insurance decided to total my atv..they are going to auction it off but i have been told by friends that before auction I have the option of buying it a salvage price...is this true?

Normally yes. The insurance will usually offer to sell the unit back to you. If you decline the offer, it goes to auction.

Sometimes it's a good deal to buy it back. Sometimes it's not.

If it is a good deal I will get my dad to buy it...and I will buy a 2012. I have to say though i have had my share of problems with that machine so I hope the 12s are better

Well that's a big bummer. I bought my Polaris in July and tipped her over in August. The insurance fixed it as she was not hurt to badly. Nor was I. Well, my pride was hurt, but that heals in time. I believe you may have salvage purchase rights but this varies from state to state, province to province. It also depends on your policy. Ask your broker, he/she should know. Hopefully you are back in the saddle soon. Hope you are okay!

It indeed is a bummer but as you said hopefully I will be back in the saddle soon. I am doing alright i wasnt injured too badly..thanks man
