drz 125 fork cover

Hey howdy...first post here.

I need a little advice, and maybe pointed into the right direction.

I've ridden dirtbikes since I was 8. Had one ever since. Back in the late 80's I acquired a streetbike and developed a passion for THAT.

Long story short, I had a friend die with me 2 years ago and that shook me up. SO much so I go out of street riding altogether. I only ride dirt now....but I also have a Supermoto Converted RMZ450 that I like to ride on road courses.

Typically I take my 14 yr old son riding on single track with his DRZ 125 and my DRZ400 and we have a blast. But recently my 9 yr old daughter has expressed a desire to be with me and the boy in the woods instead of being left at home with her older sister.

This is where I need help

I CONSIDERED selling the supermoto for a sidexside but the trails we ride, a sidexside may be just too wide.

What 4-wheeler is a TRUE 2 passenger that I could take my 9yr old daughter safely on trails with me?

It'll have to be 4x4

And I'm no small guy.

So I imagine I won't be happy with too small a cc 4-wheeler.

What are good options for me? And can what I'm looking for be had used in good condition for <$5000?

welcome to the forum. a sportsman touring 500 ho might be the bike for you.

Sounds like you are wanting either an 800 Touring model, or an 800 X2 model. Both are 2 up machines. The touring is a purpose made 2 up and the X2 is a multi purpose machine with a pop up seat that converts it from a dump box to a 2 up ready machine. The X2 can be had with a 500, 700, or 800cc engine. Not sure what you will find for $5000. I sold my '07 800 X2 this last spring for $5900. The 500 is a good engine, but might fall short of what you want power wise. Just saying that a guy your size with your riding background will probably want all the power you can have. I started with an 800 and now I could never go smaller. The newer 850's are a great power machine, but you won't touch one in the price range you mentioned.
