Advice on 2012 800 EFI

Hello my name is Tony i live in the Florida Keys in Key West after many many hour of reading the forums n test driving many diffrent atvs of all brands i have decided to buy a Polaris. I write here tonight for advice n info on what to expect the first 50 miles n also what to look for if any tweaks before i leave the dealer lot. The model i finally decided to buy is the 2012 800 efi in Yellow or that other fancy name Polarise use :} What im looking for is to see if anyone here in Florida has bought an atv at GreaterYamaha from what i understand they sell a lot of units n Big Pete is helping me with this sale . I think he is giving a really good price 7700 out the door ! This is a good size buy for me n from what i read is all about dealer inital setup can make a big diffrence between a truble free atv or a complete bucket of shit. Okay with that said is there a list of things i need to lookout for ae engine noise clutch noise etcc.... please advise on any other tweaks i should ask before i leave dealer this is a long drive for me . The more info the better and if anyone has had any experience with this dealer good or bad i want to know. Thanks again and from what i read the 800 is a good all around monster correct me if im wrong .

Can afforde the XP line but much rather have a less electronics to deal with or go bad miles out . Main use of this atv will be Rec driving trails towing camping etc .....Im a big guy 290 6-0 and plan to have daughter on it as well. Thanks again any information will be helpfull good or bad throw it my way .

Plan on pickingup the 800 on this Saturday coming up .

Thanks PS going to have a Margarita

I got my 2011 850 xp for 7500 out the door about 3-4 months ago . does not sound like a good deal to me . I believe te 800 and 850 have the same amount of electronic do-dads so that shouldn't deter you . I would shop around more , downfall is you might have to travel to pick it up .

brand new , no eps . eps was + 1000 bucks ! my dealer did not charge any of the extra (scam) costs ( setup , freight , documentation fees ) , my deal was 7100 for the machine +395 in tax . I am close to your size 6'5" 310 lbs . the xp 850 is an incredible machine . faster then most sport atv's , and super comfortable soyou can ride all weekend w/o getting tired or sore . my older sportsman 500's were harder to steer then my new xp w/o the eps . the riding position for your knees and ankles on the xp is light yrs better then the value line sportsmans . the older bikes would twist my knees and ankles in wierd positions and I could hardly walk after a good day of riding . now , I can ride all day w/ no pain at all !

yes , the xp feels like a big sport quad , not the old bowlegged riding position of the older sportsman chassis . easier to steer the xp w/o eps then the old sportsman chassis also .
