Newbie needs help buying-

Hey everyone newbie to the forum.Sorry,I know this has probably been asked before.Looking to buy a 2012 Polaris Sportsman 400 H.O. I got 1 quote so far from a New Jersey dealer (where I live) MSRP $5,699.00+ freight, tax etc. Told me he could do $6202.00 out the door, told him I'd be paying all cash.
Can someone PLEASE tell me what I should be paying? Never had a quad, just sold my Yammy dirt bike and plan to use the money to get a quad. Is $6200.00 a good price? Can I do better? Thanks

I agree. You could buy a 500 at that price. Keep looking and check on the internet. Some pretty good deals out there. You would have to pay freight but $500 should get it just about anywhere.

You can buy a 2012 500 ho for $5199.00 plus tax here in Arkansas or a 2012 400ho for $4899.00 plus tax. Look at Gregory Polaris in Jacksonville,AR. Great people to buy from.

I'm looking,calling-these dealers in New Jersey are worse than car dealers- got 2 prices, 1- $6,200 OTD cash- other dealer said he'd beat that price if and when l go there and sit down with him, said ''around'' $6,000.Called a dealer in Pa. (no tax for out of state buyers) his price was $5515.00 cash out the door-BUT didnt have color i want and would have to locate it,and pick it up,but has to charge $$ to pick up. Depending on where it is,depends on how much he'll have to charge.Waiting him to call back. And the 2 N.J. dealers want approx. $1,500.00 for a plow???!!!!
