Just got back from checking it out. I would have drove home with it but the guy did not have the title notarized and the battery was dead. We jumped it and it fired right up. As soon as the jumper cables were removed it died. Like a truck, shouldn't it have stayed running on the alternator or are ATV's different in that aspect? As for the fan, he had it rigged on a toggle switch on the handle bars. If the ignition is off the toggle will turn on the fan, if the ignition is on and you hit the toggle it blows the fuse. Any insight on that?
Also it had 500 miles not 300, but that did not bother me too much as the wife was the one I was corresponding with and she did not know.
Thanks for all the help, I have them driving to town tomorrow with a new battery and notarized title. unless someone here tells me different, I think it is a sweet deal and I'm going to jump on it.

Def. make sure the title is clear before you buy. But if the battery gets it working, I say go for it.

I would look into a grounding issue around the fan.

Well, the title was clear and I am a owner of a 2010 Sportsman 550 EPS. Paid $4K for it. I'm thinking I got a sweet deal! Going out the garage to pet it right now......
thanks for the input gentlemen!
