I believe you are getting a good deal. As a dealer we would offer the same price for the Sportsman 400 HO. As far as the accessories, most aftermarket plows will run you from $500-$600 and any good winches will run you $300+. Sounds like a fair deal.

Gotta agree. I would never buy a machine from a dealer that was going to charge freight and set up. Thats the biggest crock of a fee ever. It just straight pads the owners wallet is all. There is no other reason for the fee.

My local dealer offered me a 500 H.O. Sportsman for $5900 out the door. Promo is 2 year warranty. Camo is $500 more but when they age they're purple camo.
I found this on CL
2005 polaris sportsman 500
Haven't decided yet.

On the older model camo the plastics did turn purple. On the newer models with the Polaris Pursuit Camo the plastics do not fade to purple anymore. Polaris changed the camo once they noticed the problem

You better tell my dealer that, down here in FL the sun is a bit more intense and in no time, these still do it. In fact, the sun destroys car paint too. I'm sure you're right for mild climates that they may have endured better than earlier models.
