i never finance things like atvs... always show up and pay in cash... heck i rather get money from a credit card, cash, and give it in.

the interest rates here are CRAZY... both from polaris and from banks...
oh 2.99%? sure for 5 months, and on the 6th month its back to its regular 11.5% or something...
the banks interest isnt better... 16.5% atleast. and the bank that i HATE...

as for the deals. they wont get any better... they recently got to their BEST in the past 2 years... almost a year after my first purchase the rebates started getting near 1000-1500$ while i only got 500-700.
and now they are up to near 2000$.... (as again, in canada, im aware that you guys down the border get "worse" deals ( but we both end up paying the same amount)

as for getting now or wait.. id say.... get it now... because who knows whats going to happen after?
not only that but if you dont get something now, you will end up pushing the purchase further and further.
ex: oh the 850 HO comes out? wonder whats going on in 2013... oh nothing? lets wait for 2014... and so on...

just image the fun time you are wasting waiting for the next model...
JMHO.

hope i helped on the descision making.

I don't finance things like this either. I don't have credit cards, I don't have a car payment, heck, I pay my insurance premium in full every 6 months cause I hate having monthly payments.

But many people do finance, at least when I was working at the dealer. But its not my place to tell people how to spend their money.

Well, I did it fellas. Found a nice deal on a leftover 2011 800 efi I was going to jump on a 500 HO that was just 5 minutes down the road from me, but luckily they were closed til jan 3rd and I was forced to search elsewhere if I wanted in on the rebate offer, good thing too. I stumbled across this 800 for basically the same price as the 500 HO including rebates! Deep down I wanted the 800, so it worked out for the best in both cost and fun factor. I'm excited and I cant wait to get her broke in and tear up some trails!! Thanks for all of the input guys, I really appreciate it!! I'll post up some pics tomorrow before I get it too dirty

Thanks again,

Joe.

Issue with Rebates

Bought a 2012 550 eps and a 400 ho because rebates of $400 each were supposed to end Feb 29, 2012. Wasn't quite ready to buy but dealer said they never know if the rebates would be continued since Polaris never tells them anything. So OK, i bit the bullet. march 1 the rebates were increased to $500. Wrote Polaris and said i felt cheated. they said talk to the dealer. The dealer said talk to Polaris. Grand Run-around. To add insult to injury, a week later they added a 2-year extended warranty incentive. Seems to me it should be the other way around: Give it there best shot and then maybe not quite as much in case someone waited too long. At least wait a few weeks between incentives or let you know what is coming up. I am extremely irritated. Wrote the company again and they never replied. I also have a Polaris crew. No more Polaris for me. They may suck more people in with deals, but also lose once-loyal customers. If you are buying, suggest you wait for the sweetest deal until the newest models come out. . Seems to be a quirky marketing scheme for Polaris. And to echo others, customer service sucks.
