Buy now or wait till after the New Year???

Just curious if it would be more beneficial to wait til next year before purchasing (looking at 500H.O. or 800 value line). I'd hate to miss out on the rebate offers and low financing, but would also like to know if deals will be any better after Jan 1.

The wife basically gave me the go ahead to pull the trigger on a new bike so I'm chompin' at the bit to buy now!!!! Any advice is appreciated!

Joe.

I was in the same situation with my wife so I decided it was time so I bit the bullet and decided to go with the value line 2012 sportsman 800 efi in yellow and won't regret that decision so I would say go for it especially since the wifey gave the go ahead .

Welcome to the Board

Do what you feel is good. the rebates now are good with the 2.99 interest. thats why i just bought mine last month. but if the wife gave you the go ahead i would do it now before she has time to think about it and change her mind. lol. i know mine does that often so i just went and got it when she said it was a "good idea" to get one.

Ive been thinking about this too. I was in the dealership in Sep when the rebates were ending at the end of Sep then it was end of Oct then Nov and just last week I was back in the same dealership and of course its ending at the end of Dec....heres my thing, Im going to assume i can still buy one of the 2011 models for the same price as with the rebate, im not going to buy a 2011 model for the same price as a 2012. So rebate or not I should get it for around the same price as with the rebate if it were to end this month.

well think about it this way... the BIGGEST rebates from polaris are either BEFORE summer (march) or BEFORE winter/during... why? to sell out the left overs, as the next year models are coming in....

depends on the rebate but if you are near a 1500$ rebate (in canada) then go for it....

a bad rebate is 700$ here... a good one about 1500... ( but usually the 500HO hangs around the 1200-1300$)
and usually dealers add on something to get it to 1500...

an 850XP EPS (or touring) gets 1700$, plus alittle something to get it to NEAR 2000$ rebate....

go for it as the next one will be in ~march

i bought this past April (2011) and I got $2400 in rebates and 6.99 financing...which is not bad in the GTA.Considering it's one of the most expensive places to live in the country.

I'm in the same boat. First post here. I'm ready but I dont know what the 1st will bring. Anyone know what they did last year after the 31st of December? Do they base the rebates on volume or only moving the products from the previous year?

The rebates probably wont change much at all, they may get a little better for 2012's but everything that is a left over should have the Max rebate on it. The wild card is the interest rate if you are financing. The interest rate changes based on what the lenders say the market is at.
