Looking into purchasing a 2012 Sportsman 400 HO?

Im looking to purchase the 2012 400 HO (blue one) with the following accessories: Polaris 2500 lb winch, Vader 14" rims with Sedona Ripsaw Tire Kit, Rear brush guard, LED headlight kit, and the 12" LED Light bar with harness for the sportsman. What do yall think? The total on my quote would be $8,188.93. Do yall think its a good deal? I know thats exactly what I want. Let me know what yall think.

Dump the Light bar.. (the one at my Dealer Sucks... much better ones on ebay..)

You sure you want to put them tires on a 400???? you Should look at a 500 or 550 if you want them tires. 400 Sucks for power with big tires. (had one... then got a 500 much better!!!)

I just wouldn't pay that much for a 500 when you can get a much better machine for the coin.

And the LED headlights look awesome, but aren't with $500. HIDs work just as good for a fifth the price.

At least buy the 500. Remember it is better to have more power than not enough power. I wouldn't even buy my wife the 400. Sure, the 400 will do plenty, but that is a big purchase and you will regret not having available power.

He's right^^^I have seen leftover 2011 800's for 6K out the door. Don't buy a bike you are gonna want to trade in a year. If you are inexperienced, just take a riding course and always respect the quad.

As far as the mods... Buy the best bike you can with the budget you have decided on, then worry about mods later. They are gonna hammer you on the little stuff. I could probably get a leftover 850 with EPS for $8,200!

That's how you have to think. Good thinking! Make sure if you spend 8K + it is the ATV of your dreams! Nothing worse than spending all that dough and realizing for another $1000 I could be riding the best quad ever made.. ALSO, before you make any decisions, SEARCH ALL KNOWN ISSUES ON ANY BRAND ATV YOU ARE CONSIDERING. Read about Polaris, Can-Am, Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Arctic Cat. After you have obtained enough information to make an educated purchase, then go buy your bike This is just my opinion, not a Biblical Sermon, but I want to help as much as I can.
