Looking for some input on this machine.

2005 Polaris Sportsman 500
Purpole camo
142 hours/734 miles
wench, front bumper, and gun rack included
tires would need to be replaced in the near future

The purple camo dosent do anything for me, but painting it could be a project once it get warm out.

Dealer price is $3999.
KBB retail estimate is $3765 in excellent condition.
NADA is $2513 low end, 3298 average.

What would be a good number on this machine?

That's the same one I have. I love it. I almost traded it for an 11 model, but I can't bring myself to do it. I like the body style better. Its solid and dependable. The only semi major problems I have had with it is the starter, but that was my fault. I went swimming with it, and water got in it. It's dependable, and it will go where my nerves will not. I love the stock PXT tires that came on it. If you don't ride on concrete, they last a long time and get pretty good traction.

Instead of painting, if you want to invest the money, you can get one of those stick on kits. That will give it a better color. I like to hunt, so the camo does not bother me, and I have had deer almost trip over the darn thing, so I know the camo works.
