General question on used atv price

Generally speaking, if you buy a used ATV from a private party, what would be a good price in comparison to KBB or NADA? How much did everyone else pay relative to the KBB or NADA value?

For most ATVs KBB will rate them in 'excellent' condition, and NADA gives a 'low' value and an 'average value'. If a clean ATV were to be priced around the 'average' NADA price, would this be a fair deal? great deal?


I ask this generally because I am looking at a Can-Am, and this is a Polaris forum. But, if anyone wants to comment specifically, it is a 2008 Outlander 500 with 930 miles, two owners. KBB is $4820 excellent, NADA is $3030 low and $3985 average.
