1st purchase

Looking to buy my first 4-wheeler. Looked at all brands and like the Honda and Polaris the best. I am going to be riding once a month or so on average, recreational with maybe some occasional snow plowing, maybe. Mild trail riding, few creeks, etc, nothing that would excite over 500 views in a you tube video.

I have an opportunity to purchase a 2007 Sportsman 500. 600 miles and 80 hours +\-. It has a winch and backseat with storage. I can get it for $3500.

Previous owner was late 40s and a farmer and used it for work. All plastic is in decent shape.

Sound like a deal? Any concerns to look out for? If the model and year reliable?

I am assuming this is a carbed model? Overall it sounds like a good deal to me. Miles to hours ratio is good and it sounds like it was cared for. NADA is approximately $3800-5000 so it's below book value. The 500 is a tried and true model and from what I understand really hasn't changed much technologically over the years. I say if it feels right, go for it
