Looking at getting a Sportsman 500ho.
Hi Guys. I'm looking for a wheeler for my wife to ride. We are leaning towards a Sportsman 500ho. I was thinking that I would buy a 2011 or 2012. From looking at them I notice that the EBS is now an option. Is EBS an option that I should buy? I have an 2001 that I bought new so I have not rode a wheeler with out EBS. Do most of the new or newer sportsmans not have EBS? If I don't by new is there a year that is better? I would be looking for an 2006-2012.

Looking at the polaris website doesnt even offer EBS, even the 800 doesnt either, 850 says standard
No EBS would be a huge deal breaker for me, now i want to go back to Grizzly's

I have a 2011 500ho and I love it and from what I can tell you is the 2012 version is missing the made in America sticker on the back so I am glad I got the 11 and the front storage boxes are different. I don't think you will find a better quad (for the money) I bought mine new in Sept and gave 5200 cash for it. I have not had any major issues with it and it already has 300miles on it.

So we looked at a few more wheelers this weekend and she seems to likes the Sportsman XP 550 better than the 500 ho. Thanks for the input, I'm looking to buy something by April so I'll have to watch the deals and jump on something.
