outlander 1000 or polaris 850

so i want another quad question is which one. i either want the 1000 or the 850. im leaning towards the 1000 because of its power. i will most likely wait until the 2013 models come out to c if polaris adds a little power to the 850. whats holding me back from a 1000 purchase is i want to stick with polaris. so what do u guys think?

def going to test drive. hp is important but i have a feeling the big difference is in torque levels. also hoping polaris will either punch the 850 out to somewhere in the 900 cc range or just come out with a new bigger motor. anybody know the torque level on these machines?

k+n when the oem needs replacing. even with my vehicles, i was never into programmers, intakes, or exhausts. and forget about engine work. now if ur ride has died and needs new life then thats a different animal altogether.

I am looking to drop my 850 down on a new xt 1000 can-am because my dad wants to trade brands. So I have been looking around at both bikes and found some pros and cons of the bikes

Can-am problems for the new XT outlander is
the black end piece on the brush guards brake off easy.
you have to buy the eps model for Visco lok QE
Needs skid plates even on the new G2 frames
Back trunk opens randomly some times
first year model

Polaris bads
Needs better skid plates
some bad welds A arms frame (not that common tho)
needs brush guards front and back
Bad MPG 9.4 mpg with hard riding so this is like low as possible almost 6 gallons

Goods for can-am
Good throttle response
grate MPG 14.1 with 5 gallon tank
smooth ride
for sure faster
Don't you want to see a 1000 label on the side
New G2 frame
3 mode EPS
ROTAX V Twin. Enough said

Polaris goods
Best work bike made
Best 4x4 system
Best usable ground clearance
new and Improved air box
Best ride
Best price but you do get your moneys worth of stuff on the can-am
4 years being made so bugs are almost all worked out
narrow seat because in-line twin
better for hunting then the outlander
smother control of power
You stay with the same brand

thanx for the break down, bro man. like i said my heart is with polaris. what spurred this on is my last ride. some of the guys i ride with have rzr's. i c the power they have. weather it be on a climb or in a mud pit. another thing i noticed was the difference in the power level of a 800rzr to a 900rzr. the 900rzr did things so effortlessly, in comparison to the 800rzr. so this got me thinking it would be nice to have a more powerful ride. also i need another quad for my wife/visiting friend or family member/when ones down for repairs.

800 touring watched the vid. sounds like the 1000 has the power but not the agility, i.e. braking , handling, maneuvering, and articulation. thats way i asked the question "which quad". i want feed back from polaris owners and their observations and input in regards to both bikes. what i definitely won't compromise on is the machines athleticism.
