tired of brute forces

Hey, I have a 2003 Polaris 700 twin. Where I live we have 300 foot drag races and I'm three of gettin beat by brute forces. That is the only problem I have. I always get first in the mud pit but loose in the drag races. I wanna do some upgrades to my quad. Any suggestions on what to do first and which products are best?

Sorry to say but a 700 polaris will not run down a brute! Not even On nitrous. Time for an 850xp

I agree, at least not with major mods!! First off, they are quite overweight!!!!

I don't think there is anything you can do to beat him but you can can be smiling when his motor falls apart at 2500 miles and you're still riding!

a pipe filter and good jetting will help you get closer. then good clutching will help a bit more. next to really compete you will need cams, high comp piston, big bore and head porting. or you can just love beating them in the mud and realize that having a drag racer is better for a sport quad, then a 4x4.

If you wanna drag dont get the 850XP. Its not a drag machine in anyway. It will beat a brute in a drag but just barely in that distance. The brute has a very instant hit of power where the 850 is more smooth with much taller gearing. Not to mention the extreme weight difference. If you want to drag, I say dont bother with a popo at all. Its not what they are about. If you want to drag get an can am or a brute and mod it. Even the 650 can am will show its ass to an 850XP. Just trying to be honest with you so you dont run out and spend the money for an 850 and then still loose in the drags

Brutes are geared lower than other quads..... and the 850XP is fast...... but my 08 800 outlander will always beat the XP in a drag race regardless of rider or conditions.
