What were Hondas race quads 93-03?

So I know this is a Polaris site but this is driving me nuts! I know the 80s had the trx 250r but that ended in 92 right? And I know they have the trx 450r in 03'and up. But whatrhe heck quad do they consider their racer? The 400ex what years?

They raced the 250r till the early 2000's , then some people used well worked 400ex's for a while.

yea they used the 250r's and swapped the yamaha 426 4 stroke motors in them, then the 450 motors off the dirtbikes

Ah the days before they started making trackstars like the 525s or the KTM race quads. I had a 250r Laeger chassis with a 450f motor in it. Peps suspension, all sorts of work done to it. Tumbling end over end after casing the 60 foot triple ripped out both shoulders, game over

the last year for the 250r was 1989 actually. suzuki built their lt250r until 1992.

Yeah 250r until '89 and the 450r was '04-'09, then they brought the 450r back out in '12. But after looking it over it's basically a '09 with no new upgrades. Still pushing a carb rather than switching over to efi.
