Inner front CV Joint - Install
Broke the original joint and ordered a new one in. The old one is removed and as I get ready to intall the new one, I noticed the joint has been crimped in to keep the inner cage, bearings and inner gear sealed inside the joint "bell" housing.
Just wondering if in order to re-install the middle axle back in the gear, it is just a matter to lay the "bell" housing flat in a vice with a rag to protect the spline going into the diffferential and tapping the axle back into the middle gear and then tapping the whole axle and cv joint in the differential or the other way around?
I check the manual and they are saying squat!
Please, put me on the right track sequence if I am wrong. Never once in my life had to deal with cv joints!
