Bad tps

cause a very high idle??? Shut machine off and restart seams to run fine?

I had this problem and it turned out to be dirt in the throttle body. I removed the throttle body, cleaned it, and it was fine after that. I never did find out how dirt got into the throttle body.

In my case, sometimes I could blip the throttle a few times and get it to come all the way back to a regular idle.

Ill let you know. Dealer said new TPS will be in on Friday. He said it was an electrical issue?

If tps is bad it normally will give you a check engine light

Was not the TPS sensor dealer is not sure . I asked him to check the harness for a broken wire

So frustrated dealer cant figure it out. Paid twice at $80 each them saying they fixed it and didn't

Probably is the IAC or the vacuum hose to it. The IAC likely just needs cleaned or the vacuum line is leaking. Both are easy fixes that take only a few minutes but at the dealer its gonna cost ya $$...sounds like it already has.
A bad TPS won't cause high idle. If its bad it usually causes rough or NO idle and/or a dead spot in the throttle. I've never known a bad TPS to give a trouble code either.

II hope it is the IAC ready to get this little project over with Thanks for the imput once I get it back ill let everyone know what it was incase anyone else has this issue?
