Chipped New Belt Ribs

I just replaced the belt on my 2014 Scrambler 1000, and I noticed that 2 or 3 of the ribs on the outside had Chipped. There is about 2mm of rubber missing on the rib on the side. None of the inside ribs are damaged, and the sidewall of the belt itself doesn't appear to be damaged just the side of the ribs. Is it safe to run it or should I get a new one? Also how much of the belt should be riding above the secondary? Thanks all in advanced.

I've always heard that when you put a new belt on the gullets from the top ribs should be flush with the top of the driven clutch. I'd get a new belt but keep that one around as a spare.

Agree, replace the belt while you have it apart.
