Outlaw 525 hard starting
We have an '08 Outlaw 525IRS. I replaced the battery as it was hard to start. sounded like a weak battery. then I replaced the starter with a used one. My son tried "cleaning" the original, and it smelled toxic afterwards, so I put in the replacement. It sounds like the battery is almost dead when we try to start, like it has a hard time turning over, but I know the battery is good, and we charged it up. Anyone else had hard starting issues with this engine? Anything I should look for, or tests I can perform?
I see some folks say they've had premature headlight burn out from voltage regulator issues, but would this cause my hard starting?
