I just serviced my 2003 Sportsman 600 and I put 90w gear oil in the front and real differentials. Then someone told me it takes universal ATF in the front differential. I have never heard of such.. Why would the front differential need ATF? Why kinds do yall use? Thanks
I believe it's because the Hilliard clutches have been moved from the front hubs to the front differential so it would take the same lubricant as the Hilliard hubs.
