no spark?

I have a 1995 polaris 400l 2x4.just bought off craigslist.ran fine and brought it home and wouldnt start.seemed like it wasnt getting spark.tried it the next day and it started.started it every day for 2 weeks and it ran fine.took it out on the trails for 25 miles no problems.next day went to start it same problem.turns over but wont fire.? any ideas.

Alot of things will affect firing. On/off switch,coil,spark plug,cdi unit,stator, and the ETC(electronic throttle control). When you say won't fire that means no spark from the spark plug correct? I would replace spark plug first. It could have fouled the plug.
