300 polaris four wheeldrive

My 300 will only go into four wheel drive when it is in low, i have had it on jack stands before and it would go into four wheel in high but its hit or miss now.... Will ALWAYS go into four wheel though when it is in low gear.. What may be the problem?

Also works fine in reverse..
