Have you looked at the documentation that came with your winch?

Winch

You can probably find a mount at KFI Products

ATV winches, mounts and accessories for KFI Products - KFI ATV Winch, Mounts and Accessories

I bought one from them last week, they shipped it within 48 hours, it fit nicely and they included mounting instructions.

Wiring

When I mounted my Warn winch, the wiring that came with the winch was very long, much longer than I needed. Rather than rolling up the extra and zip tying it , I cut off the extra and soldered new ring connectors on the ends. I used shrink wrap.

It fit real nice and eliminated the rolled up "extra wire". If you do this, make sure you leave an extra inch or so on the ends in case you have to replace a connector at a future date.

The winch wiring is pretty straight forward just remember that all Polaris key on accessory circuits have a red wire with white tracer or an orange wire with white tracer and most have extra accessory connectors under headlight pod so you can plu the contractor switch in

i got everything except there are 2 small red wires im suppose to connect to the key wires. its says to connect to brown/blue wires. the only wires i see are one set that has 2 wires one being purple and the other being brownish, and another set that is 3 red wires with white stripes.( and yes, these are the extra wires for mods.) which wires do you guys think i should use? thanks!

winch

I mounted a Warn xt30 to my 850 last week. The red wires I connected under the headlight pod to orange wires that had white tracers.

One of my "hot wires" had a female connector on it so a "spade" connector could be pushed into it. The other wire I think had a rubber end on it.

Stick the "test light" probe into the end of each hot wire and the other end of the test light connects to a ground or the negative side of the battery. Turn the key on. If the test light glows the wire is "hot", turn the key off. The light should go off.

If you can find these you can use connectors to join the wires. I cut each wire and soldered them and used heat shrink wrap on each wire.

You should be good to go. GOOD LUCK !

You can test the wires using a "test light". Stick
