Is there step by step instructions for repair of ON DEMAND HUBS any where in the forums ?

What model and year. There are a bunch of links floating around for repair manuals. That would be the best place to start.

on demand hub

Hi Kong,
Thanks for the reply, It's a 2002 Sportsman 500, 6x6. The right front hub will not stay locked in. It kicks in and out while the others are spinning. Thanks again for the reply, Chuck

change the fluid and see if that helps

On Demand Hub

Hi Ross, I took it apart and the axle bearing is gone, every thing is floating around What is the easist way to get it out and the new one in ?

if you have casle nut and washers off, hub should come off and bearings, nilliard clutch and armature plate should come out of hub, check that bearing races are ok, if not they need replaced too can get bearings from auto parts store, Timken #L44649 and L44643, they should have races too , get old ones out and take them with you
