CANT GET OUT OF 4X4!! I need help!

I have a Polaris sportsman 03 600 and now can not get it out of 4wd, I have power at the switch so I think it is mechanical, can anyone tell me what might be the problem? Is it a solenoid? you should hear it engage when you flip the switch right? HELP!

If the switch is shutting off the juice, then the problem most likely lies in the front differential. TRy changing the fluid, see if it helps

change fluid and if that doesnt do it its probably broken roller cage in front diff, unhook wires at front diff and see if switch is turning it on and off, there is a plug in a couple inche from front diff

I just went through the same problem, turned out for me it was the armature plate inside the diff, simple fix... once the diff was out. Kinda pricey in my opinion though $75 for the part from the local dealer. Also try checking the resistance in the diff, others correct me if I'm wrong but I think its suppose to be less then 26 Ohm
